FAQ
What is a Micro Current Neurofeedback Session Like?
Five small electrodes are attached to the head and neck, an EEG is recorded, and electrical stimulation is provided to several places on the scalp. The session usually takes between 30-45 minutes and is generally recommended 1-2 times per week.
Does it Hurt?
Absolutely not! The electrical current is so small it cannot be felt by the recipient. The children we have seen tolerate this procedure without any discomfort.
Is it Safe?
IASIS MCN is completely safe and is registered with the FDA.
What Does MCN do to the Brain?
MCN alters the brain wave activity to improve the balance between excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitters. This results in a better functioning brain.
How Many Sessions Before I See Improvement?
Clients generally see improvement in 3-5 sessions. Those who have had symptoms for longer periods may require additional sessions to achieve the best results. In some of our most difficult cases, we have seen it take as many as 15-20 sessions. Every brain is different!
Is MCN Expensive?
MCN is very affordable compared to the cost of other treatment modalities. Trinity Integrative Care offers a sliding scale fee based upon ability to pay, discounts for veterans and first responders and their immediate family members, and no-interest financing options are available. We never want lack of funds to prevent people from getting the help they need.
Are There Side Effects?
A small percentage of people experience minor side effects that may include headache and/or nausea. Other side effects may include feeling energized, tired, and/or spacey. Side effects generally dissipate within 2-3 hours.
